Changes of the 3.0.00 version of SyndeoCMS

Below you see an overview of the changes for version 3.0 of SyndeoCMS.
This version is released on 22 september 2011.

  • no longer support for chat and forum module, modules can be removed via upgrade script.

  • all forms have now form validation (required fields) via Jquery.

  • forms module: field definition has been highly simplified, added the email field, specify "E" for the length.

  • forms on the site can now be styled via css. Add following to your style.css of the used template:
    #theForm {
    background: #B8D651;
    -moz-border-radius: 6px 6px 6px 6px;
    -webkit-border-radius: 6px 12px 6px 6px;
    }
    #theForm li {
    background: #E5EBDF;
    }
    and change the colors to your needs.

    ps. IE8 and below doesn't show rounded corners!

  • CKeditor version 3.6.1 is now part of the CMS.
    FCK editor can still be used but will not be included in the zip anymore.

  • Tagline added to the configuration, you need to change your template to use it. see forum: http://www.syndeocms.org/forum/index.php?topic=2071.

  • download module tables are sortable via jquery.

  • for security reasons no javascript will be allowed in input fields.
    In Configuration -> Working environment you can allow Javascript for the pagemanager editor only!

  • Modules are shown alphabetical in modulemanager, users and module popup window.

  • Several small bugs.

IMPORTANT: if you have 2.9.00 running, you don't have to upgrade, code is equal only if you are using the search module to search albums, have a look at this forum entry: http://www.syndeocms.org/forum/index.php?topic=2037
