Hello Willy,

In the downloaded zip you can find a install script (\starnet\install\install_questions.php). By running this script, the question module will be installed (you most first copy the files to your website).

Kind regards.

Gerard,

In fact, thats what I already did.  The installation-script said :
Quote
"The table for the questions has been created."
Dont't forget to delete the install_question.php from de /starnet/install directory.
Succes with this module.

Now, I suppose I have to link the module (questions) with a page, in the modulebrowser. But I can't find a question-module.

Can you show how ?

Willy,

Did you give the users the rights to use this module (Config -> Administrators-> Module access) ?

Kind regards.

Gehrard,

I checked it : the install-script made the question tabel sn_m_questions.  But the module is not visible in het module manager, and I can not connect a page with the module.

Hoi Willy,

Did you check if you have acces to the module. See in the admin part of your site : Config -> users and look at the properties. Is the Question module there in the list of available modules and is the Yes button filled.

Kind regards.

Gerhard,

The question-module is not visible in the list of available modules of the module manager, so I can not cheque the "yes" button and I can not connect a page with the module.

I don't know what went wrong.

Greetings.

Willy,
The questions module seems not have been added to the syn_modules table, you can do this
by:

Code: [Select]
INSERT INTO syn_modules VALUES (NULL, 'Questions', 'sn_questions', 'view_questions.php,View Questions', 'admin.php', '', ' ', ' ');
in phpmyadmin.

Hello Fred,

Thanks for your kind help.
MySQL give failures :
Quote
INSERT INTO sn_modules
VALUES (

NULL , 'Questions', 'sn_questions', 'view_questions.php,View Questions', 'admin.php', '', ' ', ' '
)

MySQL retourneerde:

#1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

I have not  syn_modules => sn_modules : a list of all installed modules
I have not sn_questions  => sn_m_questions : all questions

Are those the same you ment ?
Greetings,

Hallo Fred,

It seems I am a few steps further now :
I have a tabel sn_m_questions and an entry in sn_modules in mySQL database.

So now I can give access to the users (default is no).  I made a first question and answer in the moduele manager and I also can make a page and connect the view questions module.

But, I got the following error on the internet.

The error seems to be caused by the fact that <?php is not the first line in the view_questions.php script?

It was.  The "<" was missing in the first line : <?php

Thanks very wel.
